KR 1 brake pad change!

Okay i must be doing something wrong, trying to get new pads into KR 1 callipers, can i do it, can i buggery.

There must be a simple way to do this, somebody help before i loose my mind.

if they r organic and not sintered it may b the paint stopping them from going in the calipers....(painted instead of copper colour)...give the edges a quick file....or you may have to give the calipers a once over with a wire brush at the part where the side of the pad touches.....bit more info would help....(pads not fitting calipers,pads not going wide enough to go either side of the disc,etc)... :D

Thanks for the reply, yes it is that they do not seem to be going wide enough to go over the brake disk.

sometimes pads come with a plate on the back(its to stop brake squeal)..so if its got them bin them....or someone has sold you pads that fit a range of bikes and the material is just too much( know if you buy xt pads they wont go in a dt125 even though they look the same but the pad has 1mm less material for a dt)...got a new set of pads for my other kr so ill post the thickness of a standard set of pads tomorrow mate... :D

The rods that the calipers slide on, as they are single sided on the KR1, can seize, they may need a bit of WD40 and some TLC.
