Evening to you all
I have also taken my kr1s out for its first run of the year ; and have encountered some problems with keeping the bike running .I have only owned the bike for a short while ;as it has stood for some time ihave changed engin and gearbox oil and twostroke oil . plugs look fine ;it starts and ticks over but wont idle for very long but then will rev through again ;i did expect some trouble on a run out !after about a mile she bogs down and dies totaly ;will start again eventualy but the same thing happens .I would like to be able to sort this kind of problem out myself for satisfaction and economical reasons ;if anyone could give me a check list of possible faults and advise on workshop manuals ect to keep my bike on the road that would be great ;i know these bikes need a little fetling and i am a bit of a novice with the spanners but what a great looking bike ;it just wont go so well at the moment thanks.

Welcome to the forum mate.
Workshop manual can be download from the link at the top of the page.
Sounds like a feul problem to me, possibly a blocked vacaum hoseto the fuel tap, but that's just a guess. Easy way to check that is to run it with the tap on prime, as this negates the need for vacum to allow feul through the tap.
I'm sure that a lot of others will come up with other (probably better) advice as to what it could be.

Good luck mate.
Scott.

Sounds like what happened me.. I would say the vacuum pipe is off maybe and its set at on or reserve fuel tap position. Vacuum pipe can come off carb easy putting tank on even when you think it cant.
