Can this crank be rebuilt?

Any ideas folks. I pulled this out of my KR1 engine. It has been run dry of oil hence need for a rebuild. The question is the centre section on the R/H cylinder. The centre shaft and crank-pin are one casting. The rod has chronic side to side play and can twist. The centre bearing slides left to right!

Can this be repaired or do I have to find somebody with another crank which I can use?

I'm at work ATM so I can't view photobucket pictures, but your best bet is to drop it into BDK or stan stephens and let them strip it and check. If its good then they can rebuild it, otherwise your be looking for a second crank from which they can salavage the good parts to build one good one.

I'm no expert, but it looks like you may be well off to find another crank, even if just for a spare.
As Elf said, take it to BDK (or the shop of your choice) and get them to check it over. They're the only ones that can say for sure if it can be fixed.
Good luck mate, Scott.

the rod touching the crank may be fixable it looks like the crank web is a bit ofset...that can be trued up but the bearing moving up and down its seat says metal has worn off one or both parts if its just the bearing no problemo but if its of the pin its spare crank needed ...you know the words.....NO LONGER AVAILABLE......AHHHHH

but i may have a crank you can knick the pins off..i'll look tomorrow..
