Hi All,
Just got myself a nice KR1s C2 from member Nick Wye2 on here. Having trawled the site I found a piccy of it as it used to belong to CLIFF here. Jolly nice fellow who has filled me in on some of it's past. I'll be sticking some better pictures of it on here soon when I have had a chance to clean it up. The piccy below is when cliff had it.
This is it now.
Plan is to run it this summer and then gradually restore it.
Having previously owned a Kr1 and KR1s this will be our third.
Below is the KR1s we owned which I sold about 5 years ago after I binned my R1. It was mint, had 1 previous owner and 5500K miles when we sold it. What a pillock I was selling it

. The guy who bought it came from Spain to have it. I have been told it was for sale at Stafford a couple of years back and could be back in the Solihull area?

Hi, welcome
The bike doesn't seem to need much restoring, does it?

Hi,
To be fair the C2 is nice and could just do with some minor cosmetics.
It probably just me as I think I have a "perfection" compulsive obsessive disorder

.
When I got my LC I planned to tidy it and it ended up like this

Welcome to kwak land, seen that pic of your old 1s over on the RD forum.
Think you may find one or two lc/valve owners on here too
LCb looks lovely, assume the kr will in the fullness of time

Doesn't look bad now, better than many that turn up.
Are you going to keep the microns on or opt for standards or something else?

Pleased to see my old bike is still looking good

.
I always wondered what became of it, funny how you always want to know what happened to your previous bikes.

For some reason most of my old bikes seem to end up with a breaker of some description

The bike came with a pair of std pipes, one NOS exhaust and one VGC although neither have cans. I may well stick with the microns but not fully decided yet.
I think it will be a while before I start spending any significant money on the KR1s as I currently have an RD125LC in the middle of major surgery

.
However, I am sure I will be unable to resist the temptation if something comes up I need

Looking nice mate.
I dont remember the green mirrors mind, but it must be four years since i've seen it.
Don't forget the ear plugs once that new exhaust packing gets soaked in oil
