BR9ES for a KR1S?

Hi, I am finally just about ready to start up my KR1S for the first time since last July, when I bough it.

The previous owner fitted BR9ES plugs. I checked CDI, barrels, kips-valves, carburettor settings and they're all KR1S. Only the bottom end seems to be KR1. The plugs itself are pitchblack and oily, so I can't judge whether they used to be ok, or not. Should I take BR10ES now, as they're the standard plug for the KR1S, or could there be a sensible reason why the previous owner took the BR9ES?

thanks,
Charles

br9es plugs run hotter than 10es...so will start and run at lower temperatures better than 10's...but wont get rid of heat as it gets hotter.
10's will work better and dissipate heat better the hotter you get....but are worse in cold weather starting..
i personally have never needed 9's in my kr1s ever in all weathers..summer sun to winter snow...use br10evx or br10egv...top plugs and last forever...almost... :D

hahaha :D I knew that the way I wrote that was wrong, wanted to say a set (two) of the types mentioned by Darren.

Please tell me how I should have written that correctly [-o<
