.....................and I had forgotten just how much fun they were (been about 8 years since I had my last one).

Pics below:

Needs a new top fairing, in fact I am looking for a full bodykit and maybe a single race seat.

Pro-lite cast iron.

The cosmetics aint great, but the engine is sweet. I am getting some of those JL carbon cans of Sean on the RGV forum.

Has anyone had their spannies re-finished in a standard sort of anodising?

I just resprayed mine with some VHT Exhaust paint. looked nice in Mat Black.
there was a thread on the old forum with pics of some spannies that had been sprayed in BBQ paint and they gave a gloss finish and looked nice.

wouldnt the heat damage powder coating??

Plasticoat BBQ paint does the trick, a neat finish that is hard wearing.

i think its hard to replicate the standard finish with being a high gloss.
most will re do em in a satin or matt.

I like the way you can see the inside of the fairing reflected on the frame, like its a mirror!

The pipes look clean but I don't think the two up one side suits the 1s personaly, I love the two fat expansions and race inspired cans poking out either side of the rear wheel.

never really liked the way the microns look.
i dont think rgv style pipes suit the kr.

cliff have you ever owned a dirty bike or one that just needed a wash

the sign of a "proper" biker... does more washing than miles :D
only joking a clean bike is a good thing allows to spot problems.
speaking of problems the CBR is getting dropped off tonight to have the valve clearences done. you wouldnt belive the aggro i have had trying to get them done.

"Sorry Sir its an Import".......

double stacked cans dont look as good imo

I prefer the standard pipes also. Those came with the bike, but i think they would look a lot better with smaller cans. And as i have mentioned before, they were so loud  .
