Picked her up on the old fleabay. Never bothered to even go and see it before buying ..even with it only being 10 miles away hehe (really sensible) Turns out bike is really nice. The kr1 seemed like it was owned by Keith Richards and this seems to have been owned by Aled Jones. The fairing/exhausts/tank/ dont have a scratch on it and has good bt090 tyres and mint discs. Only 2 owners with all old mots to verify mileage (17000) and a new crank/pistons. Only downside is the guy says it doesnt rev properly at high revs. I got it started and dash said cold and then went up to 50c .. with the choke off it didnt seem too eager to idle but saying that it has been sitting for a year and might need carbs cleaned. Still keeping the kr1 but it does seem really old in styling next to it. I noticed the rs has better brakes (maybe because my kr1 needs bleed) and a much better lock on steering .. i have a steering damper on kr1 and it does restrict steering slightly but there seems a huge difference to me. If anybody has got any good ideas for a plan of action to get rs going proper let me know :) Here is pics of it...

Cheers guys. I hope the "vector files pt2" doesnt end up as thick a volume as the last one hehe. I could rule out about 50 problems the kr1s had in about a minute looking at it :o Think I will clean and set carbs (been sitting a year) and a new set of plugs and see what the score is then. :)

=D> Nice buy, you need to get over to the RGV forum there are a lot of threads on there regarding set ups for bikes that are not revving out.

Dont know J.P. I havent ridden it yet because it has no mot and have only went up driveway. Waiting on oil, plugs and new battery being delivered before I do anything. Will be working at it this Friday and Saturday so hopefully if I get it going ok it could have mot Saturday afternoon and will let you know then :)

Cheers Barry, I have been scouting around rgv forum and people seem to say about the solenoid problem so will check that out.
