Hi

have heard references made to swarbrick end cans on the forum, just have been having a look at their website as my standard kr1s cans are a little worse for wear.

Can anyone give me some advice on them, they seem reasonable value for money at £99 for a pair of ally cans or £143 for carbon,

do you need to rejet carbs etc after fitting these?

do they give any power gains?

do they sound different?

or are they just a good alternative to knackered old standard cans?

any comments will be greatly appretitated

I very much doubt it.

yes, a gain over standard clogged up cans but probly no gain over good standard ones.

do they sound different?
-
my guess is yes, louder

or are they just a good alternative to knackered old standard cans?

yep, except for MOT. I think they are race cans. all the tune is in the expansion chambers as I understand it.

Agree 100%, can't comment on swarbrick cans on a kr as I've never had any, had some on an lc and they were as above.

Don't think you've any probs re mot now, as I understand it they no longer have to be bs stamped on bikes of this age as long as it isn't stamped not for road/highway use then you should be fine. Mine has no problems with the mot and it's got micron pipes with lomas end cans, which are of course another option.

Was having a look on the tyga site the other night their ally end cans seem cheap, dunno if delivery would hike it up much, suppose you could ask jap4performance for a price they seem to stock their stuff.

I've got swarbicks on mine, they seem well made and are pretty crash proof
They're not too loud, I can't comment on performance gains/losses as they are my only decent cans and get transfered from bike to bike.

I think Bertie. Mollie has some for sale?
