25th Birthday present!

This year I have mostly been spending my money on....tyres!

Treated my KR to a 25th Birthday present of rubber (ooh, er, missus!).

After 25 years the original tyres had to be replaced for the MOT. They still had legal tread depth, but the years had taken their toll on the sidewalls, and they were starting to crack!

Now sporting a new set of Battlax tyres, the KR sits a little higher than it used to! Handling on the old set was starting to get "edgey" to say the least! Still bedding them in, the bike feels a lot better.

Anyone else fitted any of these?

those bridgestone BT45's??

if they are plenty good enuff for sillyness and peg down action.

mates have had them fitted to various older stuff and never had any complaints and they dont hang around.
they bring a new lease of life to bikes like GS's Zed's etc which because of there weight need decent tyres to prevent them from pitching you off.

that is a VERY clean KR.. didnt this appear at kawasaki sunday last year at the Ace??

They certainly are BT45's.

And yes, my KR was at the Ace last year! Will go again this year weather, and back injury, permitting.

Be interesting to see what MotoGp bike, if any, Kawasaki bring to this years meeting, in the light of what's happened this past year.

I'll just be happy to see the KR500 again!!!!!
