Excellent - Extra weight and a single disc.......
Certainly make emergency braking in traffic more exciting!

.

...apparently lighter than the standard telescopics
of coarse perhaps 8 pounds of that was saved in the Marchesini and 320mm single disk... but youre right...
braking was one of the issues why it never became aftermarket...

I gotta agree with Jan on this one.
It's freakin hideous :-& , dosn't stop [-o< ......... So what the heck was the point of it again???
KR-1R..... If I had that in my garage, I'd be selling it and getting a nice zxr636 USD front!

...would that be piled up next to the shredded Bimota Tesi you didnt want as well?
I'll add that to the reasons it never went anywhere then...
1. Cost - of the custom lightweight wheel / hub.
2. Modifications to headstock - the stem size had to be beefed up for the asymetric loads.
3. Peformance - better road feedback, worse for braking
4. Appearance - breaking 100 years of telescopic tradition.
...at least they did it on a KR and not an RGV - thats enough for me to like it
Yokohama 003's - they were the SHIZZLE ^^^^^^ man

oh, theres no denying its not pretty but in a weird way, it looks kinda trick. maybe the wp shock/marchensini components sway my opinion but id love to have that and get it so it is actually BETTER all round than just better in a few areas. with todays braking tech ie radial this n that i think its possible. im sure the fact it only has a single 320mm disc isnt the only reasonm behind the ''poor'' braking ability. would definitly turn heads at a club race on a kr, why it turns heads is another matter!!

i'm sure modern dics/radial calipers would improve the braking now.
