being new to the world of Two strokes i apoligise for constantly bombarding this forum with queries,

on start up my kr1s has a healthy display of smoke from both cylinders, but once warm (after a 20 minute run) there is no real evidence of smoke even when the bike is static and being rev'd. is this normal, or should there always be smoke visually coming from the exhausts?

Once warmed up you will find virtually no visible smoke, it should still stink though .
My mates moan like hell if they ride behind me- "my new leathers smell all smokey" Puffs, the lot of them! If they don't like it they should go a bit faster so they are in front I reckon.
You can test the output of the oil pump, the procedure is in the manual. It's a bit of a faf mind, you need to fill up with premixed fuel then disconnect the oilpipes and measure the output at set revs. Probably worth doing if you are really worried.
I just run premix all the time to be sure, but it's a bit of a pain.
