Hi there,
I just bought myself a kr1-s. Got it , put some new oil in it and made a testdrive, simple as this, I LOVE it!
Now I've got some questions before the pictures I'll post.
Can you guys know how old the bike is given the frame number? As first registration states 1994... Is this reliable?
Next, the previous owner made the choice ( awful ) to make the rear end blue instead of yellow and I REALLY dislike this! So now my question about this, are these stock stickers or is it painted?
On the front, there are scratches in the white part, and here again, the owner instead of respraying decided to make it have a blue corner..
And last question, as the pictures will show, the fairing on the knee and on the rear end right under the light is kinda broken, are these fixable without them being broken again after a few rides?
After this wall of text, some pictures..

Hi Christophe,
I hope you don't mind, I edited your photo posts so the rest of the members could see them.
You need to add .jpg after the photo link and before the [/img], so it looks like this at the end .jpg[/img]
The damage to your fairings can be repaired by plastic welding.
The number board is a decal that can be bought.
Keep the photos coming.
Cheers
Bernie

.
.
your bike has C2 fairings but grey calipers so it could be a C3 or C4 which is 1991 or 1992 - doesn't mean it wasn't still new on showroom in 1994. I would expect the chassis number to be KR250C-006800 or higher

if its a C3 it should look like this...

Re: Just bought one myself
Welcome to the forum, the damage and re colouring of your bike are not unusual. Remember these bikes were sold as hooligan performance machines with light weight fairings. Many of the early ownners thrashed and raced them.
Its only now as enthusiastic riders we start to look for originality. In many ways tracking down bits and doing repairs is part of the ownership experience, you can only unleash the power valves and give it some so often!
Enjoy the new bike

Same as...I can see why the previous owner decided on it anyway, its a pretty good match with the scheme.
Welcome anyway OP.
