Hello, have a question. Normally, next month i do a trackday.
On my KR-1 s is a Metzeler MEZ-1 (150/60/18) - I know, it's an old tyre, bike stood still for about 10 years ...
I have another tyre but in the original size, a Bridgestone Battlax BT 45 (140/70/18). Saw on the website it's sport/touring
Which the best tyre for track ?
Thanks

Dunlop Apha 10's /Bridgestone BT090 seem to be the 2 top choices

it depends on your scills wether to ride with one off your tires. if it's your first trackday and you are just going to learn, both will be fine.
if you know your way arround a track, I wouldn't use a 10year old tire, allthough I would still ride it on the roads.
if your a talented fast rider, I'd buy a new one

The BT45s are well regarded by the RD crowd (largely cos its the best of the limited choice)...
But I dont know how they compare to properly sticky tyres

I used BT45'S on my first trackday, thickness of a pram tyre but seemed to hold together ok
But nowhere as good as the Dunlop Alphas
