Re: wanted right hand mirror for KR250S
Hi All
I am answering my own request with my own solution :
kr250s right rear view mirror is 56001–1259 :
picture :

gpz900r a1-a6 right mirror is 56001-1225

OK , parts numbers are different . If you look carefully , you will notice that the different is the "rod" part
on GPZ900R it is "bent" on the left , on the KR250S , it is "bent" on the right . the angle is the same .
This is understandable as mirror is mounted on nearly vertical surface on the GPZ900R , but on a nearly horizontal surface on the KR250S .
What can be done with 56001-1225 is :
remove the rubber plugs hiding the screw and nut on the bottom mount
remove the screw that holds the "rod" to the bottom mount (very tight , use a very good JIS screwdriver )
turn the rod around so that it is now "bent on the left"
put back the screw and rubber plugs .
you get something undistinguishable from 56001–1259 (even regulatory engraving on the plastic part is the same )
much easier than locating a 56001–1259 in Japan !
I did this with a NOS GPZ900R mirror that i bought on EBAY . i can confim it works perfect !
