It's good to see such an original example. Not many around now.
Very nice =D>

thanks, i've still got the original white mirrors and clear fairing screen, i fitted the black mirrors 'cos i had to clean the white ones after every journey! the darker screen hides all the wires and cables behind the fairing, i've got the original (rubbish) rubber brake lines as well, swapped 'em for much better goodridge hoses about two years after i bought it.

Really nice bike you've got there! =D>
Personally I think the dark screen and black mirrors look better than the standard ones.

Dosn't look like it's done even half that.
That has to be the cleanest un-restored KR1 anyone is likely to ever see.

don't want to shock anyone but even though it's on its second set of tyres and brake pads it's still on the original chain! i've only really had to put fuel and oil in it, just bought a bottle of two stroke oil (rock oil fully synthetic) and it was twice as expensive as the last bottle! sometimes i wish my first name was sheik!

here's a pic of my kr-1 taken a week after i bought it in august 1989, with the original mirrors and screen, having a matching helmet was the only thing to do then, i remember being pulled over by a copper for going a little bit too fast wearing a team green jacket, matching gloves and this bash hat and the first thing he said to me was "is this your bike sir"!
