F3 kips valves to be manufactured
Hi,
I've got the opportunity to have a batch of F3 valves manufactured. The valves will be made (CNC) out of Aeror grade Billet stock which is about 10 times stronger than the original cast ones. The Elf will provide me with a LHS and a RHS F3 sample each, so that the manufacturer then can make exact copies of them.
The manufacturer is a professional who earns his money with the production of high precision parts for the automotive industry. Currently he's developing highest quality yokes for bikes like the R1, R6 and the Fireblade.
The quote I got for a batch of 100 valves was approx 35Euros, no more perhaps even less. The Elf told me original cast Kwak ones in the UK cost approx £35, so the F3 ones will be cheaper and better. Here in Germany/Holland the original ones cost 41.65Euros
I would like to know if/how many people are interested in these valves. If there's not enough interest I'll just get some made for The Elf and myself, but those will then be more expensive.
For those who don't know what (used) F3 valves look like, here's a pic The Elf sent me:
Production of the valves won't take ages, they will be ready within a few weeks after I will haven given the manufacturer The Elfs valves.
Shipping them to NZ, Australia, USA is no problem.
cheers,
Charles

The thing that gets me about the picture from the kit manual is that it seems to show the RHS valve on the LHS and vice versa. Opps just realised the picture is from the rear of the cylinder

Thanks Gary and all others!
With Gary's set we've reached 13sets so far, hope some others will follow, to keep the costs as low as possible.
thanks Charles
