Has any one removed the chrome adjuster from the front brake lever

I want to paint the lever,then replace the tatty one thats in there with a nicer one thats in a bent lever.
Does'nt look like its meant to come out and I don't want to take it apart if I can't replace it safely

Any expierences

I don't think it comes out. Even with difficulty.

You can still buy new ones, they are fitted to the ER-5 or EX-5.

Lever from the RGV250 works same as well....

I got a new one smithy.It was'nt worth the agro.The're both in the scrap ally bin now.
