engine cases/water pump

Post by pablo »

I'm stripping the motor to have the cases aqua blasted. It's more or less apart but I'm a bit stuck with the water pump side case. How do I remove the bearing and what do you recomend I do with the steel "thingy" that sits between the bearing and the seal :-k

I've used a nut with the same outer dimensions as the bearing. With a small hammer you can then easily get it out.

Used a dremel to get the other bl**** thing out.

just pull it all out then press a new bearing in. the springy thing is part of the mechanical seal . u will also need to order a new oil seal [which sits between the bearing and mechanical seal] prob best to order the mechanical seal as well[it comes with a new seal for the impeller
