Thanks lads you caught my garage at a tidy moment - 3 weeks ago it was a different story as my wife has an unhealthy obsession with the number 4 - this number 4 to be exact

Bloody hell that takes me back! I remember a girl from my subaqua club bringing one of those to my garage with a broken timing chain, made a few enquiries & there was two ways of doing it, the first was to remove the engine & gearbox, remove the timing chain then refit, the second (
a lot cheaper) was to remove a plastic cover on the inside of the car on the bulkhead, remove (cut) a 12inch square in the cars bulkhead (you could then change the timing chain without removing the engine) then weld the plate back in place! She took the cheap option, mind you she did return home to
Australia about six months later

crazy machines - her last one i had to put nearly 2m2 of steel into - i kid you not - bright yellow i might add
32bhp as well (well in 1982 ) prob about 25 now - what a weapon

Wouldn't you have been better just pushing it of the top of a mountain... You have a few to chose from up there...

I had to drive home on a couple of occassions in peak traffic with no clutch! (broken cable) luckily it was so feather weight you could start the motor in gear and bang through the box
