Hi,

how do I stop the cylinder from turning in order to unscrew the Allen bolts at the bottom end of the outer tubes of the front forks without having the 'front fork cylinder holder handle and adapter' (special tool)

thanks,
Charles

You need to use either an air driven, or electrical, impact wrench.

You can buy cheap electric ones, like this:

Or go along to your local tyre fitters, see if they'll do it for you...

Charles - take a wooden broom stick, place the fork leg over broom stick, bounce leg up and down a few times to imprint the shape onto end of broomstick - shape with a stanley knife use shaped end to stop inside turning.

Easy Peasy
