    New wheel bearings
    cleaned and painted speedo drive
rebuilt and repainted calipers - 3 coats
    new pinch bolts
    new caliper bolts
    new brake disc bolts
    repainted brake disc centres
repainted fork brace to get rid of scratches
    new headrace bearings
    repainted clocks
cleaned yokes (not happy with them at the moment and may replace top yoke)
cleaned and painted mastercylinder (from bertie)
    cleaned switchgear
cleaned bars - need 1 new one as its badly scuffed
    cleaned and repainted radiator grill
cleaned and repainted radiator (not the fins)
cleaned and repainted horn (from bertie)
all brackets underneath tank (UST)cleaned and repainted
original bolts put in ultrasonic tank and re-used if good, replaced with original if seen, replaced with allen bolts if not
    new tank and seat bolts
    cleaned petrol tap in UST

    new rear wheel bearings
    rebuilt and painted rear caliper
    cleaned and recoated torque arm
    cleaned and repainted sprocket holder
    replated all wheel spacers
    replated wheel spindles
repainted bungee hook brackets and new rubber bungs on the end - lost one is anyone's got a spare?
    cleaned inner mudguard
number plate hanger.. what a bitch of job as it was really discoloured and non UK version.. rubbed down and painted with rubberdised paint 3 times then with 3 coats to get the right finish
rear indicators - as number plate hanger
main engine and suspension bolts all replated
Oil tank re-installed (was running premix when i got it)
new std size dunlop Alpha 10's
anything else i've missed has been cleaned and if necessary repainted
waiting for my new replica hoses to arrive after the 1st set came in wrong and with chrome ends, exhausts to be back from painting and a few more bolts i need

only change from stock so far will be lomas alloy end cans but if i don't like them enough i'll try source some NOS originals but that will be an extra £550.

don't ask how much... I HATE to think - lets hope the engine doesn't show any nightmares [-o<

Dear Craig

Wow, what am amazing job you are doing. So pleased I sold the bike to someone who is turing it back to its original best. A beer in the fridge for you if you swing by Worthing when you are done so I can drool and regret ever having sold it! I feel a project coming on having seen all the work you have done ....

That said, get back to triathlons to improve the power to weight ratio when it is ready to go. Beer guts and KR1s do not mix well .....

Cheers, Chris

Excellent work Sharkey!

Most impressed with your work and for the patience needed to see it through, let alone your poor cheque book.....

Any chance of a list of contacts; shock rebuilder, replaters, plastics revamp/repair people, etc? I've found it hard to find decent people to do the right job for my own bikes. Maybe there's a Sticky to be made from a list of good people & the services they provide.

Keep up the good work Sharkey, I look forward to the finished result.

Darren - WightWizard.

Hi Sharky looking great very very high standard but super dooper though, just a question on zinc plating, im doing all my own zinc plating and i can not make my mind up wether to yellow pass or just the silver zinc, ive plated bolts over and over i leave silver then i think yellow so i dip them then looking at them mmmm, of to the shed to strip then plate silver then yellow then on and on over and over you get what i mean, im having chrome affect powder coat and im thing the yellow will look good against it but im undecided, any thought on this and this goes out to all cheers for reading wayne.

I'm going to sell it as lost interest and don't have the time to finish it.

All the parts are there and all the needs doing is
- the engine putting back together after being blasted
- new pads
- finish the wiring up
- bleed the brakes
- MOT and off you go

probably a couple of other odds and sods

crank, cylinders, pistons etc all in good nick with very few miles.

as you can see - everything has been done to it that could be done to make it concours.

Soooo what's it worth then?? (obviously less than i spent i'm sure)
