Noob here, got myself a KR1S today, looks in good condition, odd mark & mismatched fastener etc but it's just GREAT All looks standard so far as I can tell & very clean. It's a green, white & blue & sounds very crisp & super tight mechanically. Will try and get a couple of pics tomorrow. Absolutely love it so far, keep popping out to the garage to have a peek hehe

I know exactly what you mean, mine has been waiting patiently for 5 weeks now in the garage. I am taking my "Direct Access" next week along with my test, and should I pass and get my licence, the minute I get back home I'll be on the phone to the Insurance company then straight out for an overdue ride.

Thanks for the welcomes everyone Sorry for delay in pics, mega busy yesterday and it's a bit of a pain to get out of the garage (excuses ) will try daylight pics later if I can drag it out, in the meantime I've just snapped a couple in the garage. Seems a bit soft on the back shock & there's no gas in the remote cannister, what goes in there? Nitrogen? Air?

It should be nitrogen, at about 150psi

It's a job for a suspension specialist really, you could get it re-filled yourself but if it has leaked out once.... It'll do it again.

Tbh, the rear shock isn't much good anyway, the price of rebuilding it isn't that far from the price of a Hagon or similar. A few have fitted R6 shocks, it is a bit of work but worth it by all accounts.

Somebody told me a motocross shop could recharge the shock? Don't suppose I can use air? - would the inherent moisture in air bugger the internal workings up? Haven't ridden it yet or even touched it until earlier today when it got it's first wash, came up quite nice, took the screen off an did it properly an everyfink

Fairing/clocks subframe is mint under the dust for 20 years old!



Forks still have lacquer, no lips on the discs (still painted on the edges) and bellypan not pebbledashed, very pleased :

Don't worry about going out to the garage to look at it, I still do it & I've had mine for almost two years & mine doesn't look half as good as yours

Oh & thanks for the close up of the cockpit fairing, I now know how to route my indicator cables

Welcome to the forum fella & don't listen to Janbros, you keep those fairings on, unless you intend to do a trackday

Cheers for all the positive comments, scared to ride it now in case I write off the plastics It is in A1 condition, even things like the swing arm pivot bolt & rear axle still have that Japanese bright gold coloured plating and there's no slop in anything like clutch/brake levers, kickstart etc. Paid quite a lot for it really, bought it as I had the same colour scheme bike back in 1994 (old bugger ) It was a '91 H reg & 3 years old back then with 13000 miles, got to say this one is better though and it's 20 years old
