Had hoped to be able to travel long distances (to the UK and back) with the KR1S too, but I just don't have the courage to try. Had 2 strokers before that failed horribly on the motorway.
Found this (the one in front) bike in Holland and took it home immediately, a 1994 GPZ900r in very good nick:
The return trip home (160miles) was perfect, the bike ran without effort at 120mph. It even passed the Tüv-test without any problems. The front brakes could be better (they are the same ones as on the KR1S), but on the whole I like it. Although it will never make me grin like the KR1S does, that bike is unrivalled and I'll never sell it.

Nice one Charles, the 900r was & still is a cracking bike. That one looks mint.

17" front and 18" rear just like the KR1S. It even came with the original owner manual and tools under the seat. I found several 900Rs that were cheaper than this one (€1450) but those weren't as good as this one. I wanted one from the nineties as those ones got the better brakes plus the 17" front wheel.
Hope to visit Cadwell with her next month .....
