Hi All,
I found me a KR1-S with everything but a nice bit of the head missing.
Bike has been parked in my uncles workshop and ive been told if i can fix her shes's as good as mine.
All fairings and panels and everything is there... will get some more pics but i need some advise as to what parts im going to need to get her running.
Im in SA so all my parts will have to come from UK. your lucky to find a KR1-S here.
sorry about the pic size!

Hi Raven,
and welcome to the forum!
As far as I can see you'll need:
- a set of barrels
- a set of pistons
- a cylinder head
- a head gasket
- a set of kips valves
- the KIPS linkages
- a set of KIPS pullies/levers
- a set of KIPS cables
You do have the KIPS motor, do you?

all i can tell you is my uncle started pulling it apart to have the head fixed and lost it over time.... im pretty sure all it's bits are original.

Knowing my uncle, The Head is hiding in a dark corner... the man has a huge workshop, sell jetski's and quad bikes for Bombardier, can-am etc
Just like his old KX250, vtr250, one or two halves of a scooter...
Ive looked and pulled the bike out and found all the fairings etc... can find the license papers but don't plan on using her much on the road... one or two track days.
About that KIPS system... is this stock on the KR1-S's... if so i shouldnt have a problem...
@ Bertie_Mollie,
Post some pics and a price, need to get an idea of a costing. still got to get the Pistons... Ive got a mate at Wiseco... ive got one piston i can use as a sample... maybe he can help me out but i'll still need the barrels.
Thanks all

Wow, browsing over the KR1-S PDF file and it seems i have quite a bit missing... not really too much just means it's gonna take a couple months...
need to get my Z1000 back 1st

then i can focus on the KR1S but i'll keep at it... post some more pics and go see if i can find any more parts in my uncles workshop.
I look forward to getting her up and running, hear alot about the KR1's, Most of the guys in SA all know the RGV Gamma 250cc two stroke but most have not heard of the KR1.

Hi Pablo,
thanks for the warm welcome.
Ive got a Black 2007 Z1000, had the 2008 Z750 but got high sided with a tank slap. great machine just wonder why kawasaki never bothered to put a steering damper on them. and they just made it hard even if you wanted to fit an after market damper.
Oh well, still i buy another cause i just love em.
My old Z750 after the accident.
Before the accident.
My New Z1000 and my buddies R1.
