Hi Guys,

Do the ZXR 400L forks/yokes fit onto the KR1S?
If so, can you retain the KR1S front wheel, discs and calipers? - if not, what do you have to fit instead?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

if you do a quick search on the forum, you'll find all info you need. it's been explained about a dozen times

l yolks need a stem swop .h yolks you can use a 5mm spacer.
to retain the kr wheel you need the 20mm spindle turned to 17mm,
it will also need spacing as will the calipers i recall the calipers need 5mm.
if you go for an upside down front you may be better with a 636fork in 400l yolks. scooble would be the lady to speak to about this.

I had 400L forks on mine, but I thought they felt a bit hard and were about at their limit of adjustment.
There are some differences to look out for, the 400H uses the same calipers and discs as the KR1S.
The 400H fork tubes at the top are wider at the top by 1mm (51mm as apposed to 50mm for the H), hence the L yokes have a slightly bigger diameter.
As Spannerman said, the ZXR stem is slightly longer, so you can either do a stem swap or add a spacer under the top yoke.

The 400L calipers are smaller and 5mm further away from the center of rotation with 310mm discs as apposed to 300mm discs for the H.

I eventually decided to go with the 636 forks as converting the ZXR forks to full adjustability would have costed a lot of money (plus they look nicer!)

Fortunately, the 636 forks are also 51mm so no new yokes are required.

I got my 636 forks revalved at Mick Gardner racing, kept the discs I already had and added a pair of GSXR750 radial calipers. - this baby stops like its chained to an oak tree!

L and ZX6 forks are 50mm on top scooble

the difference is that H forks are 50mm on the bottom, while L and ZX6 are 52mm
