Anybody run a 120 wet front tyre?

I was intending on buying a part worn front wet if I find a spare wheel, don't think slower turning will be problem in wet?

cheers

I am thinking of cutting a tyre to make a wet rear as you can't get an 18 inch wet race tyre. I would like to start with a compound that is good in the wet, I had a Pirrelli H rated dragon on the front which was verg good in the wet considering but these are no langer available.

I'm intending to buy a pair of grp 70's for the dry but haven't ridden on them before so don't know if they would be good for wet use.

So what does everyone think is the best road tyre in the wet which is available in std KR1S sizes?????

Thanks
Bridgestone do 18" wets.
Set of wets on wheels yours for £250 :D

now I find out!! :? after ordering £££££

I already have spare front discs and a rear wheel

I take it they would be part worn wets, is the front tyre a 110 70 17?
If the size makes any differance?

I might well be interested but I only need a front wheel, pair of wets and a rear disc. If you could decide on a price for these and let me know

Thanks Martin

Professor wrote:Thanks Sean I will have to wait and see what happens, I've ordered the GRP 70sp's from M&P at £145 for pair. seemed cheap enough?
Have just had a set of GPR70's fitted and couldn't be more impressed . Used them for a track day and found a new level of confidence . Will be putting another set on when I wear these out which could take a while as they have handled a track day without looking at all worn .
Have been told by a racer that they go alright in the wet too .

Hi Sean,
