I have had my kr1s engine rebuilt it has had new centre shafts con rods an mains new pistons and replates from lang court i have done 350 miles since the rebuild i did the first 200 miles bellow 7 thousand revs than the next 150 mile up to nine thousand revs does any one know if thats enough miles to run it in?. I was looking on the tuning works and they said a replate and new pistons on the rgv is 300 miles. I have had a lot of these bikes but never had to run one in before.

When I got my KR1-S new way back in 1990.... It said in the little book do not exceed 7000rpm for the first 250miles...
Well I got out the dealer and pottered down the road a bit keeping below 7000, then one of my mates came past on his 350LC....
After that I never bothered. It went well though, it indicated 138mph down the hill from the Creg at the TT....
My wife took it for a blast and said she saw 135mph indicated on the M42. She could not believe it was that fast. Her regular ride at the time was a 1990 VFR750.
