Hi, before I stick a wanted ad up, what are the options regarding the stantions, is it worth getting them re-chromed, or are there S/H ones still out there with no pitting etc.

Mine are a bit scruffy with a few blemishes, bottoms not too bad, whats the going rate, will I get the tops only or have to buy the whole lot??

i had mine done on my kr1 at a place in luton. philpots, craddock road.
luton. it cost £90 to have them re cromed, [hard crhome]
i know it is expensive. but the problem with secondhand forks is finding a
pair with good crhome,

Yes please Martin if it's not too much trouble, (I'm in no hurry so if you're passing them?) I already have the forks stripped (still has the one bottom bush fitted)

If it's going to be around that sort of price, (doubt it in reality) I could drive down myself and deliver. All in the cause of saving money :)

Heard of philpots, but didn't relise they were fairly close.
