Not quite that close Derby

Engine is still at S.E.P. they seem to be very very busy which is great for them but not so good for me is there anywhere else I can try for a fast response I have only ridden her 4 times since passing my test!!

If anyone has had crank seals done at the place they suggest some idea of price would also be appreciated

I seem to be going cold turkey their is only so much frame cleaning you can do

Stan stephens did mine. Full rebuild and balance was £150 plus postage IIRC. Included new mains and seals but I had to pay for new bigends as well. Great job.

PJ Engineering did a crank rebuild for my old KR1-S along with Barrells..

the whole thing looks sweet as a nut when it arrived back.. worth giving them a bell

OK the saga continues.... Get the engine back from S.E.P. as they had it for 5 weeks and hadn't even taken the barrells off Anyway given it to a friend of a friend who did his apprenticeship as an engine builder and used to rebuild his own RGV engines. I am going to send the crank to Stan Stephens but need to source other parts.

Whats the best place to get gaskets, pistons and rings from

Cradley Heath a good bet for most KR1 parts, they have a website and a telephone mail order service they keep alot of stuff in stock and ship things nice and quick which is handy if you need something in a rush.
Im sure stan would be able to supply all that you need?

race KR's - i always get my new bits from him

he might even be able to guide you with crank rebuild
