well looks like i have found a clutch damper gear in australia from the same source as the rotary discs and covers, even has a complete engine. just waiting for a price and shipping for the gear didnt want to ask shipping cost for engine. the old girl has been relagated to the side of the garage for the time being, as just bought a cx 500, yes a plastic maggot! fast becoming a classic, would you belive! and a 1980 gl1000 naked. That have been in dry store since 2006 both very tidy and just need servicing and cleaning. Well the seat cover turned up good quality but in black, seems unless you order them out side ebay and state colour you get a black one!!! well that was the sellers excuse, black is listed you and buy that colour even if you state you want a different colour! so becareful out there

Relegated to the side of the garage?

I have one of those areas in my garage too...it's the naughty corner and they have to stay there for a while until I build up my enthusiasm to sort them out..

Sounds like you have your hands full with other projects now aswell

well today was the day! filled the reserve tank with premix as a safe guard then spent 10 mins kicking, thought s**t better fill the gearbox, 30 mins later she fired up, still abit of a rattle below 1000rpm but shes running ok. the noise i had before is still there but no were as bad, i think its just the wear in the crank splines causing it. sorting the carbs out and sod it, the phone rings so i turn her off, answer the phone and bugger me a ppi recorded message, dont you hate them. Well lets carry on would she restart hot???? nooooo. at that point put her back on the bench to do the carbs, as per manual before having another go, i was pretty shagged out by then, my god its a hot one today, so called it a day and went to the pub for a few pints of addlestones .I must build an electric rolling starter. now gonna move on to the paint work, get her registered and sell on, i know screams of horror, but enough is enough, my patience is depleted. 4 years on one project is to long. the next pics will be the painted lady, ready for her next carekeeper. (maybe) :?:
