Has anyone used (gold) Hammerite smooth out of a can to paint their calipers & torque arm ?

If so what were the results ? good or shite ? :?
Cheers
Phil.

Hammerite is the devil's work [-X
I used PJ1 engine paint and it has held up pretty good but that was satin black.
One bloke i know just paint stripped the old paint off and left them bare and they still look great too.
I paintstripped my rear mastercylinder to leave bare and 2 years on is still perfect, just a bit of metal polish every now and then

Brake fluid will take it off at 100m even if it's still in the tin.

I'ts one of the few bits of ours I'm not happy with. If you find owt else do let us know.

i know it works out more expensive than paint from a can,
but powder coat is the way to go

Cheers guys, was looking for a quick tidy up & just wondered if this was the was to go, ill have a re-think, may have a look on overseas web pages but im sure I recall someone saying they are not too keen on airmailing pressurised cans etc (dont see why not, my Brut arrives safely when I go on hols :) )

Martin, I think your right with the powdercoating, did you have yours done this was ?

You won't find anything that comes in an aerosol can that'll hold up to brake fluid.
Apart from powdercoat, the only other thing would be something like a 2 pack poly-urethane coating.

Hi I went to the trouble of buying some grey paint from " RS paints " which worked out quite expensive but found it very "watery".I am no expert spayer, so just wondered did anybody ever come across this when using their products .
