cutting open original exhausts

some off you might still remember I once crashed my bike so hard, the headstock was almost ripped off completly from my bike, resulting in a footprint off my front discs is my exhausts 
still had the exhausts, if I ever had the extra time, I would cut them open and see what's inside. And since I'm home stuck with a broken food, there's not much I can do, but I can sit on a bar stool next to my workbench with a discgrinder in my hands
. So today I cut it open.
the mark from the brakedisc :
cut the front part off the back one at it's thickest point, grinded the weld's, and cut off the mountingpipe, leaving me with 2 halfs . also look at the mounting part , it's no longer round, clearly it was a heavy impact

a look at the inside off the back part :
when you look at the metal it's clear (whell, not so clear on the picture
) to see it's made up off an inner and an outer skinn, both evenly thick and both just plain metal, nothing special to absorb sound. the plate sticking in the middle wasn't like that, it was more even with the pipe, but it was sticking out, clearly interfering with the flow in the pipe. had a quick go to try and get it out, but it's still firmly attached where the yellow arrow is. so I'm gessing the back pipe is made out off 3 parts, the most inner one being a very thin one, and that has cracked. if you look at the picture at seven o clock, you see a part off that thin inner one.
Makes me wonder in how many pipes, parts like this one are loose, and the engine loosing power because off that
now my idea is to get the front halves back into their shape, shouldn't be dificult like this, make a new mounting pipe (also to compesate for the lost part because off the grinding) and then make a home-made back part for the pipe, and see if I can improve performance. the original pipes give good performance, so there can't be much wrong with the front part off the pipe, and since this is a very difficult part to recreate (lot's off weldings, just look at the Lomas pipes), I recon this is a lot easier, weight-gain should be almost the same, and the sound will very much improve
been talking with TSI on pipe-design programs, and I'm going to buy one which he recon's is the best.
