Brands 7th of Sept

Post by scooble »

after my last failed attempt, I will be planning to give it a good test on the 7th of Sept now that I've fixed the gearbox (maybe I can get the 35's working this time, and possibly the Huxley? pipes I have too).

Hi scoobie,
I was at brands Hatch on the 18th, went for the eveing session, it absolutely p~~~ed down!
Good excuse to put the wets on, loads of grip and great fun, could hardly see a thing!

Hi Scoobs,
might be up for this one, who's running it?

It would be great if we could get a bunch of us there, wonder if we can encourage anyone else down south for the day?

just got back from the trackday at Brands. Managed 6 sessions this time, but had to come in early in the last session as I was just too tired and losing concentration. Bike worked well but the tyre's are shot and I could feel the back wallowing coming out of clearways and I spun it up once coming out of the hairpin after riding round the outside of two other bikes (nearly 3!).
My friend dumped her FZ at clearways (broken collar bone in two places, broken ribs, punctured lung) so thought it would be best if I didn't play 'too silly' out there to leave my other friend to pick up the pieces.
I mounted a high def video camera in the nose cone, so I'll post the best bits on youtube when I have stitched it together

didn't get to run the 35's as one of the inlet manifolds had sheared off completely so had to run the 28's again.
I might get a zealtronic ign for next year as well as running the 35's and do a few more track days to get my moneys worth.

That was tremendous, you can ride a bike a bit scooble. I hope your friend is OK, broken collar bone hurts.

Great post.

Well, we'll see what MJ can do with these inlet rubbers.
