Hi guys --Might seem an obvious question but which position on the petrol tap is off? i have three kr1 taps which have Res on the left On in the middle and Prim(which i assume is Primary)on the right but they all only stop flowing when the lever points downwards to the ON mark ?

Hi Nosher,

The "ON" position is "OFF" unless the engine is running when there is vacuum from the carb which allows fuel to flow.

thanks bernie--but what is PRIM for?

if you don't use the vacuum or you run out of petrol, you can prime the carbs when you have fuel again. Saves having to kick it over repeatedly trying to het fuel back into the system.

thanks luders i though it might be that---- i`ve now totally recovered from my "Senior Moment" and its all making sense now.
