Kiwi's KR1S

Post by Kiwi »

Hi All,

Been luking for a while, I bought this little bike last year, and so far it has been sitting in my garage, keeping lovely and warm.
I'm hoping to return her to her former glory. I'm the 5th owner, and the last owner had her from 1997, and stored in his garage most of the time, apart from the odd ride.
She was last on the road in 2005 for a couple of months, but after that has been in storage ever since.
I'm hoping to get the courage to tackle stripping her down and tidying her up.
Anyway enough of my waffle and here's a few pictures

Hi Kiwi,

Looks like a good-un. Is the rebuild just cosmetic or does it need a bit of engine TLC?

Do you know what end cans you have got on?

The bike starts and runs, think it needs all over TLC. Engine, I think needs to be checked over, by someone in the know :-k

Pipes on bike, I have no idea, but I do have the orginals, given to me.

She starts and runs fine, brakes are sezied I think. Rear disc is shot grooved marks in it.

Plastic's have a few marks and cracks, but is is all their and complete.

The question is where to start ??????????
