i would say no.
i have just finished building a kr1s engine for a forum member,
with new mitaka pistons and rings.
the rings are different and the grooves in the pistons are different.

the top ring has a taper on it and the bottom ring is thinner as it has
a oil expander ring behind it.

the only genuine kawasaki pistons that are worth using, are the newer
type, [where the pin is in the middle of the groove and the rings
completly cover it, as the earlier pistons lost there pins and buggered
the bores.
but as you say, there must be rings that fit the standard kr1s piston

Those pistons on ebay with all the gaskets with them are the early type pistons before kwak updated them, i would steer clear.
