No, come on, as Martin has said, the owner wants his bike original & fair play to him.Im going to buy us all an anorak for Christmas!
Its alright for you lot to take the rise but to restore one of these to as it came out of the factory takes a lot of work.
And to be fair, most restored bikes are about 90% better quality because they haven't just come out of the factory.
The big K never put as much time & devotion into making the bloody things as we put into improving them

No, come on chaps, this is Martins thread.
And I truly believe we all have something to learn from what Martin does.
There are a lot of people out there who want to return their bikes to original & what Martin is posting is gold.
I for one am watching this post with interest, for instance I had no idea there was a bracket that held the rear shock hose in place... where did that come from?
So what else do I not know?
Keep your eyes peeled for my Kr1s project posts, soon to start

Top stuff Teerex =D>
As it happens - having seen Martins own bike in the flesh I have total respect for his work. I would even trust him rebuilding one of mine, and I'm a right picky b@gger !
(and no I don't get horny looking at shiney engine cases before you start
... LOL)
