oil leak from gear selector shaft

I have a tiny weep of oil from the gear selector shaft. Easy enough to change the seal but there's a little radial play in the shaft, what's inside, a bush, bearing? Is it easy to rectify, or do I need to strip the engine? In which case it's not worth the time and effort,
Phil

On the LC's they have the same trouble and there is a little bush that sits in the cases and there is an aftermarket one which was a little longer.

sounds easy, is it a needle roller inside?
I had a look at the manual, just a cover to pull off? Will I need a gasket for that or are they generally ok to reuse?
Sorry martin (black country mucker!), couldn't make it Wed. Hoping to have a run out to Wales early tomorrow morning, not on the Kr tho, it's still needs the shock sorting.
I'm going to rebuild the std one, with a 425lb spring, which should come in few days
