hi, can any one tell me why my new battery will not charge when on bike or any battery! what charges the battery on a kr1?

The Charging coils on the generator charge the battery,sounds like they need rewinding(i use south west windings for this).
You can check the resistance with a multi meter,the wires to test and there output are in the manual,you can download one here if you dont own one.

I have a used generator (stator) for sale which would be a cheaper option - £25 + post.
