Does anyone know if the stators on the '1' is the same as the '1s' ?
Mine stopped 20 minutes after completion

and traced it to a faulty excitor coil. Put on a spare I picked up from a '1' - starts and runs, but not sure it's quite right. Might just be needing some carb adjustment, but thought I'd ask .
Cheers,
Tommy

worth checking the pulsar coil to stator air gap,the manual gives quite a variable gap but closing it up to 0.25mm by slotting the mountings points is beneficial).
Is it charging ok with the new one fitted?

Don't have the part numbers Scooble, but they look identical, and resistance readings are spot-on. I don't suppose the stator can effect the timing anyway, as the pick-up is on the outside, and therefore as it was.
Yep, it's charging Dave. Pick-up is ok. Runs fine, but just feels 'tight' compared to when it was running with the faulty one it.
Have since noticed a kipps link missing

damm that blue thread lock !! Hopefully that's the culprit

Crap, I could have sent you one with the radiator, I don't use the OEM ones so have a shed load of them.

Stick my name on one from a '1s' if you have one please

No harm in a spare spare

I'll speak to you later re costs, and get you squared up.

I was referring to the KIPS linkages
