Shock

Post by daz680 »

It's made by Wilbers, Revs suspension in is the uk importer. They sell them for £600 but i have ordered mine from a German supplier for £450. Want to put my airbox back on but can't with the R6 shock and dont want the standard one on so this is the next best as it has the remote resevoir and is specific to the KR1S. High and Low speed damping. You can even have ride height and hydraulic preload as extras. Sales blurb below

Type 641 Competition Ø 46 mm
with hose to reservoir
This shock absorber is connected with the remote reservoir by a high pressure resistant steel hose. It is an ideal alternative for road-motorbikes with limited space. The installation of the reservoir is fairly easy supported by the flexible hose line. You could place the reservoir in various positions for example at the rear frame where airflow provides extra cooling to the system. Even the compression settings for low-speed and high-speed, each alterable through 22 clicks for fine-tuning, can always be easily reached. The reboand is adjustable through an open bleed system by 22 clicks for a perfectly tuned suspension. As with all our models, the preload is
continuously adjustable.

About 10mm clearance, had to space out from bottom bracket a bit. Pipes are close to calliper tie rod aswell as bottom of belly pan.

I have now completely stripped the bike, frame is going to be repaired (clock bracket lug) then powder coated along with the swing arm. I have a nos fairing and headlamp complete thats got a few marks thats being sorted at dream machine. When i get the crank and barrels back i'll be building a new engine with NOS crankcases, head, pistons, rings, gudgeon pins, clutch, kips valves, carb holders, powervalve pulleys off charles, gaskets and bolts. i'll post pics as i start the rebuild

Looking forward to seeing the pictures of your rebuild Daz..

I'm not going to ask if you won the lotto... I'm more inquisitive as to how you managed to find all the NOS.. Wow you must have a good supplier as most of it is NLA =D>

I can't get the belly pan on over my lomas pipes :-(. I think my clock bracket must be bent.

Your bike looks awesome daz! The pipes sound amazing don't they!
