Hello from a Newbie , here is my 93 KR1 S C3 I collect the bike later next week. It looks fairly standard other than braided hoses and arrow cans. I also the aluminium allspeeds included. There is some work to do on small cracks in the fairing and also a bad rub mark on the RHS I guess the colour isnt as attractive or popular as the green ones , but I like it and it looks original

On early task i need to sort out is a leaking pet cock, are the gaskets easily available or is it a make your own?

Best regards

Steve

I have been lurking for a while and really appreciated the quality of the information on the model

Welcome Steve,
No, thats a great colour not to many of them about i think and i have still not seen one in the flesh yet.

You can get petrol tap repair kits.

As shaggy said i would like a red one in my garage. :)

Ha, nice one Steve, you beat me to that one :) Not as mint as it was made out to be, but looks very nice all the same, also got a fancy rear shock on it as well, what were the supposed brake upgrades mentioned? did you get to go out on it as well?

Hi SP sorry about that , ive been after a nice stroker for ages so i was realy pleased. Rear shock is a white power. Brake upgrades are just braided lines. The owner said there was lots of interest from the GS forum.
Yep i rode it short distance, the roads were wet and the owner lives in a pretty built up area so limited, but long enough to put a huge grin on my face.
Best regards
Steve

Welcome to the forum Steve.

I too echo the comments about the colour, I'm just not much of a fan for stickers.

Cheers Bernie , thanks for the welcome . I have spotted a few red and silver uns used as avatars. Just so we dont commonise the mark too much I will use my little binetta bike as an avatar to maintain the rarity!

Also 375 thanks for the info on the petcock repair kit. Ordered one last night.

Hi Steve,
Use one of your photos as your avatar, I should change mine as it has not looked like that since I bought it.
My avatar should be a photo of scattered parts or polished alloy bits.
Cheers,
Bernie :D
