bottom yoke

hi all,

sorry if i have missed this in a previous topic, Can the Stem be removed from the Bottom Yoke and if Possible.....HOW THE HELL DO YOU DO IT??

Yes it can and it's either pressed out, or there's a large retaining circlip, I can't remember if that's on the ZXR or KR-1S though.

Hi Will
Press the stem down from the top first about 5mm, remove the snap ring from the bottom of the stem then turn over and press it out from the bottom takes about 5 minutes

why change direction if you could just as easily press it out in a single press from the top :?:

less chance of it twisting to the side when pressing out from the bottom

no Daz, the powder coaters who did my yokes also decided to coat the stem so need to swap with another stem I have. #-o

Might be just as quick to get them to strip the yoke and re powdercoat it and mask the stem this time :?

Thought about this, but decided to spend 7 hours with a Blade and got all the powdercoat off, All Nice and shiny now to put bearings on and start the rebuild. Thanks for advice Guys 8)
