I posted a question a few months ago regarding KR1S parts information and people seemed very interested in what we were doing with our SuperMono racer. As requested I have attached a picture of the chassis as it is at the moment. It is utilising a Tigcraft frame, with KR1S suspension and brakes, and FZR400RR wheels. Its a bit of a problem trying to blend together three different manufacturers parts but its also part of the enjoyment. The engine is in the final building stages and should be ready to mate-up with the chassis by early February. We 'should' (?) then have plenty of time to get it running and tested before the first race at Snetterton in April.
Frame looks excellent without the over engineered seat sub frame.
What engine is going in ?. & what fairing are you using oooh I feel another mod coming on ...........where's my hacksaw
Two in every one of us is Schiz-oo phrenic
I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous
Gis the loan of your face I want to worry this rat
frame looks v.trick, unusual from tigcraft's normal style. reminds me very much of the fz750 powered tesi. the kr1s swing arm suits its simple style very much i hope it performs as good as it should do. what yam engine are you using?
The engine will be a Slipstream tuned SRX600 engine with an XTZ660 bottom end and gearbox. It has a Tigcraft carbonfibre, self supporting, seat unit; four bolts and the whole rear unit comes off in one piece. The fairing is a two piece Tigcraft fibreglass affair. Although a single cylinder it has two carb. inlets and two exhaust outlets. The exhaust features two shortened Hyabusa end cans.
Thanks for your interest. I'll keep you posted as to our progress.
