G'day From Victoria mate.
Did you pick up that green and black 1s on Ebay by any chance?
The R6 rear shock conversion is one of the most common things people are doing to their race KR1's, (and it would only be beaten by USD forks and 35mm carbs).
The best bit is that they can be picked up dirt cheap. I picked up one on ebay for about $120au delivered from the US! Havnt fitted it yet as the bike is a bit of a project and still needs more bits, and I need more money to pay for them. #-o

Cheers mate, Scott.

PS. How about some pics mate?
you just need to find an image hosting site like photobucket, then copy a link to it into your message.

Happy Dayz me old cocker

06-07 r6 rear shock is the way 2 go raises back end by about 25mm, handles sweet. have a look at dans kr1s on this site. just a few problems 2 get over top bush in shock is 10mm (kr is 12mm) press out and fit correct size. also standard air box is a no goer needs altering or fit k&ns like mine looks great but need to get it on the dyno next few months i hope...

hope this has helped a bit thanks Dan..

also i have fitted zxr400 usd fronts with the standard wheel bit of a bastard, new front spindle had to be made, i thinks its worth it, what do u think... Latters Dan

Another Gday from Vic. mate .
I have an R6 shock in a track bike and its pretty easy to sort out . Just get hold of one . Got mine from ebay from Brissy Yamaha . I think the super sport racers chuck em out straight away .
Watch out for some knobs from KSRC when you are at the coathanger .

don't waste your 0.99 on that one, it's useless.

KR1 shock is 275mm, ZX6/9 is between 325 and 345mm. IF you get it in, the back will be way too high #-o
