Mitaka Pistons

Post by rad »

Hi is anyone using Mitaka pistons ( as on PJ Motorcycles web page) Need to rebuild my KR1-S engine ( Stan Stevens SS400 tune ). Will these be up to the job? Any thoughts or other pistons people are using?

Thanks

Well although i don't have any experience with KR1 mitaka pistions, my brother runs one in his Cagiva Mito and so far (4500km since rebuild) it has run very well. He also says the power feels just as good as the OEM piston.

When the time comes to rebuild my KR1, i'll also go with the mitakas.

I had my 1s top end built by P.J,s The pistons are prox but are made and stamped by Mitaka.Still running in but had no problems so far. They did a top job with the liners which mine had to have.
