yet another float height question

Post by martin »

at last, with all the advise from you guys,my kr1 is now sorted, just one question, i know my float heights are 20mm and i know the valves are closing [i dont even have any more petrol in the pipes now :D ] but i have noticed that the bottom of the breather pipes[where they come out at the bottom of the engine by the clutch] are a tiny bit wet. maybe they need to dry out as have only just fitted good pilots or maybe i need to raise the floats 1mm, does it make this happen parking on prime :?: ideas :?:

think ive sorted it, i reckon . even though the valves are closing, maybe the springs inside might be weak[the weight of the petrol could be pushing down on them] so new ones me think

found out another reason poss why [even though the shut off valves are closing] there was a tiny bit of petrol leaking out of the overflow breather pipes, i found out the floats themselves were slightly bent. [put them on a piece of glass] when i was having the fuel leak problem i only measered one side of the float [20mm]. but when i measered the other side [18mm] so made sure the floats are straight, and now 20mm both sides of the float :D
