i dont think the pop on type joints will be a problem really, depends on the price but if there cheap enough could be a good solution. the racers could improvise with a bit of ingenuity, lock wire a regular checks. the lock wire could be used to make sure they dont disappear in the event that they could come loose.

Those linkages look pretty good. I might just get a set to try in the next week or so.Leewc wrote:Hi everyone, first post here.

I got a question on the stock links, are both ends right hand thread or is one end left hand thread? I have done a little more research and found some more sites with 3mm ends:
http://www.neweramodels.com/item.cgi?part_id=3193
http://www.inetrc.com/store/index.cfm?a ... &ItemID=26
These sites had right and left ends....(huge though)
http://aurora.thomasnet.com/viewitems/l ... &forward=1
http://www.aetnascrew.com/metricrodends.htm
It looks as though the ti ones are still the front runner. Just got an email that the ends have shipped, will post pics when they get here.

I replaced my linkages with RC model ones about seven years ago. They are off the steering of a remote control car apparently. The aren't like yours, they're kinda like the originals but with plastic ends (SS ball and links). I bought two sets cause I thought they might wear out quick and need replacing but I have never needed to touch them. I run on the road and the track and have done three re-builds without needing to change them. To line them up I shine a torch down the exhaust ports and do it by eye. It's pretty easy. I flick the key on and when the power valves go high I quickly turn the key off and check the high alignment.
I'll get some photos of my arrangement as I've got the fairing off at the moment.
