members bikes, old and new
i thought it may be a good idea to kickstart a thread showing everyones bikes. i love seeing pics of 2 strokes, kr's in particular. specials or race bikes even more so. my battery is dead and on charge so will add a pic later.i havent seen many specials on here lately but the rgv forum is swarming with them, time to fight back!! there must be some specials based on kr's out there?
ps, did anyone see cliffs immaculat kr1s in fast bikes this month? easily the nicest bike on test on par with the 3xv. sean rgv's bike looked mighty nice aswell. god, that cbr600 looked foul next to those beautiful strokers.

oh yes, certainly do. many people will recognise it as a zxr paintjob but us hardcore kr1 fans will realise the true significance of this colour. it is indeed the colour of the team green kawasaki that stan stephens tuned to good effect for the likes of john renyolds, kev wholey and co. i have the motor that was ridden AGAINST these bikes by francis williamson prepped by twistgrip and tuned by terry sheperd. theres someone else on here with the actual bike jr raced in shell supercup. ps, that looks very nice and tidy. cant beleive we havent seen more pics of it!

Yeah, I know the ZXR paintwork scheme (hence the KR1'X' on the tank) but thanks for this other info!
Off to research the SS stuff now then!!!
PS This is a model B2. What the difference with that and the B1? Colour scheme or just year of introduction or anything major ???

Cheers. Reason I asked was 'cos my e-manual shows both B 1 and B2 bikes in the intro part but as it is in B/W you can't see any difference!
Aha!
Seems it depends on where you live if you got the long or short version!!

Looks like an FLF fairing to me. They also made a tank/seat unit to go with it. Think I've got a brochure somewhere... Looked good in Heron Suzuki colours.
Nice KR-1 by the way!
Not sure about this, but I think the B2 was the first model in the UK, as the B1 was launched in Japan.

Found these 2 strokers among my old photos.
The KH I bought new in 1980 without even seeing it, as the B5 model hadn't yet been released. I fitted alloy wheels and electronic ignition, neither of which made it go any faster!

The RG i also bought new, after they had changed the learner laws, oops! I de-restricted it and it bloody flew! I also fitted a set of big flip-off airhorns inside the fairing (which dimmed the lights when used at night), because I got fed up being cut-up by tossers in hot hatches!

Well here's mine, not a very good photo, I'll have to do some more. Pity some tea leaf nicked my digital camera at work the other day.

And here is my old ZX10R.

IIRC the B1 wasn't imported into the UK, We then got the B2 model, the same year the C1 model went on sale in Japan. We then got the C2 model the following year, so no C1 model either.LotusSevenMan wrote:Cheers. Reason I asked was 'cos my e-manual shows both B 1 and B2 bikes
