has anyone ever tried one of these? - i know its a higher profile and will raise the gearing just wonder how they handle
guess it would be flatter x-section than a 150/60 and 140/60
i've got a brand new one on one of my wheels (avon AM - any good) looks a bit weird and don't know whether to try it or not

I'm not certain but I think I had some of them on a pair of wheels I got of Col, he said he liked them (i think) By the time I was ready to use them some serious cracks were visible so binned them without using them.
Weren't the avon ams the tyre of choice for racing many years ago or am I confused

The last time Liverpool Fc won the league, George Michael was black and Michael Jackson was straight or visa versa, it's that long ago I get confused.

Yeah. people raced on them years ago. Rode my mates race kr a few year ago (the one I now own ) and it was abit evil! Gripped well though. Are they cross plys? Can't remember off top of my head, know one type of tyre he raced on was cross ply. More feedback and better turn in than what I use now (which I also can't remember the name off, one's before alpha 10's).

they are crossplys but are very capable and a favourite among the classic racers along with kr364? dunlops. old design etc but good enough for riders like john renyolds sean emmet and williamson etc when they raced kr1s' at british championship national level also known as shell supercup. if the tyres are good enough to use and cost bugger all then worth a go.
